Job Title: Security Equipment Troubleshooting Technician

Job Overview

Security SCG is hiring a skilled Security Equipment Troubleshooting Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of electronic security systems. This role involves hands-on technical work across CCTV, alarm systems, access control, intercoms, and integrated setups. Ideal candidates will have experience identifying hardware and software issues and providing fast, effective on-site or remote support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and troubleshoot issues in CCTV cameras, NVR/DVRs, alarm panels, access control units, and intercom systems

  • Replace faulty components including power supplies, connectors, and control modules

  • Diagnose software and configuration problems in networking or remote access setups

  • Respond to service tickets and perform scheduled maintenance at client sites

  • Perform system resets, reprogramming, and firmware updates when required

  • Maintain accurate service records, reports, and logs for each intervention

  • Educate clients on equipment use, common issues, and preventive maintenance

  • Coordinate with installation and project teams for escalated issues


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience troubleshooting electronic security systems

  • Proficiency in diagnosing issues with IP/analog CCTV, alarms, and access systems

  • Strong understanding of low-voltage systems, cabling, and electrical safety

  • Familiarity with networking, routers, and remote viewing configurations

  • Ability to read technical diagrams, manuals, and software setup guides

  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for on-site service


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with products from Hikvision, Dahua, Uniview, DSC, or similar

  • IT/networking certifications or technical diploma in electronics or security systems

  • Previous experience in field service or support roles

  • Ability to work with diagnostic tools, meters, and configuration software
