Job Overview
Security SCG is seeking a knowledgeable and certified Fire Alarm Technician to handle the installation, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems across commercial, industrial, and residential environments. This role requires a strong understanding of code compliance, wiring, panel programming, and inspection procedures. Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of managing projects independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities

Install fire alarm control panels, smoke detectors, pull stations, horns/strobes, and wiring

Conduct regular system testing, inspection, and troubleshooting

Program fire alarm panels from major brands (e.g., Notifier, Fire-Lite, Bosch, Honeywell)

Perform system upgrades, repairs, and component replacements

Ensure compliance with local fire codes, NFPA standards, and safety regulations

Complete and maintain accurate job records, inspection reports, and system documentation

Coordinate with contractors, fire marshals, and property managers when required

Respond to emergency service calls when needed
Required Skills and Qualifications

2–5 years of experience in fire alarm system installation and service

Strong understanding of fire codes, safety standards, and control panel programming

Familiarity with low-voltage electrical systems and circuit diagnostics

Proficiency with system testing tools and multimeters

Attention to detail and excellent troubleshooting ability

Good communication and documentation skills

Valid driver’s license required for field assignments
Preferred Qualifications

NICET certification (Level I or above)

Experience working with integrated systems (fire + access + alarm)

OSHA safety training or manufacturer training certifications

Technical diploma or training in electronics, fire protection, or related field
