Job Title: Field Service Technician (Security Systems)

Job Overview

Security SCG is looking for a dependable and skilled Field Service Technician to support our security system installations and maintenance operations. In this role, you will travel to various client sites to install, configure, and service a wide range of electronic security systems including CCTV, access control, alarm panels, and intercoms. This is a hands-on position ideal for professionals who enjoy working independently in the field and solving real-world technical challenges.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install and service security systems such as CCTV cameras, access control units, alarms, and intercoms

  • Conduct on-site system testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance

  • Configure devices, connect to networks, and ensure remote access setup

  • Run, terminate, and label structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, coaxial, etc.)

  • Respond to service calls and complete timely repairs and updates

  • Maintain detailed service records and installation documentation

  • Coordinate with the project management team for scheduling and technical reporting

  • Communicate clearly with clients to explain system functions and usage


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in security system installation and field service

  • Working knowledge of surveillance systems, alarm panels, and access control technologies

  • Strong understanding of low-voltage wiring and safe installation practices

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues under minimal supervision

  • Familiarity with IP configuration, PoE devices, and basic networking

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites

  • Strong customer service skills and professional conduct on-site


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with systems from brands like Hikvision, Uniview, Dahua, DSC, and others

  • Technical training or certification in electronics, security systems, or IT

  • OSHA training or familiarity with field safety requirements

  • Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
