Job Overview

Security SCG is seeking an experienced and technically skilled Access Control System Technician. This role involves the installation, configuration, and servicing of electronic access control systems including card readers, biometric systems, electric locks, and control panels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low-voltage wiring, network configuration, and system integration.

Key Responsibilities

Install and configure access control hardware such as door controllers, magnetic locks, strikes, and card readers
Program and maintain access control software (e.g., HID, ZKTeco, Suprema, or similar)
Run and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, etc.)
Integrate access control systems with CCTV, intercoms, and other security solutions
Perform diagnostics, system testing, and troubleshooting for existing installations
Ensure installations comply with building codes, safety standards, and customer requirements
Maintain job records, diagrams, and installation documentation
Train end-users and clients on system functionality and software usage

Required Skills and Qualifications

2–4 years of experience installing and servicing access control systems
Knowledge of common hardware and software platforms in the access control industry
Strong understanding of door hardware, electric strikes, maglocks, and keypads
Experience in wiring, terminations, and system programming
Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage field projects independently
Solid grasp of networking concepts such as IP addressing, ports, and switches
Good customer service and communication skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with system integration involving alarms, CCTV, or building automation
Certification or training in specific access control platforms (e.g., HID, Lenel, Salto, or similar)
Technical diploma or certification in electronics, security systems, or IT networking
